Frequently asked questions
What is a Gold Cube?
The Gold Cube is a portable gold concentrator that uses a patented 3-stage separation process to extract fine gold from large amounts of material quickly and efficiently.
How much material can it process?
The Gold Cube can process up to 1,000 pounds of 1/8" classified material per hour, and you can run up to half a ton of material before needing to stop for a clean-up.
What power does it run on?
The Gold Cube runs on a standard 12V battery such as a car or deep cycle battery. No mains power is required, making it perfect for remote locations.
Do I need to classify my material first?
Yes. For best results, material should be classified down to 1/8" before being fed into the Gold Cube.
What's the difference between the 3 Stack and 4 Stack?
The 4 Stack has an extra concentrator tray, making it better suited for capturing super-fine or flat gold such as beach sands and tailings piles. If you're mining chunky, roundish gold in placer areas, the 3 Stack may be sufficient.
Can I use it without a water source nearby?
Yes. The Gold Cube can be set up for off-site recirculation, meaning you can run it without direct access to a creek or river.
Is it easy to set up?
Yes. The modular stackable design requires no tools and can be assembled and packed down quickly. It's compact enough to fit in the boot of a standard car.
Can I add accessories later?
Absolutely. The Gold Cube is fully modular and compatible with a range of accessories including a trommel, Gold Banker top, and additional trays.
Where is the Gold Cube made?
The Gold Cube is proudly made in the USA from indestructible low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
How do I clean up after a run?
Simply remove the vortex mats and rinse them into a bucket or pan. The concentrated material left behind is then panned or processed further to recover your gold.
